LG’s latest XF1 USB external hard drive is one mean looking machine that won’t look out of place if the future still has room for hard drives. It comes in a flashy color-shifting case, boasting 500GB of storage space alongside HDMI output that enables you to stream HD content straight to your TV set, although it won’t support full HD as it maxes out at 1080i. Supported video formats include AVI, Xvid and the wide range of MPEGs alongside all popular audio codecs. Strangely enough, LG has left out H.264 and MKV codecs. No idea on pricing nor availability as at press time – tragic.
