
MicroEye is the first real-time blood monitoring system that has recently been approved for use in Europe, where this device was specially made for intravenous use for periods of up to 48 hours, where it is inserted through an 18G blood catheter. According to the manufacturer, the range of substances which can be monitored by the MicroEye includes electrolytes, energy metabolites, amino acids, hormones and neurotransmitters, inflammatory mediators and growth factors, as well as drugs and their metabolites.
