The Mobii ION 230 netbook is yet another model to hit the streets, where it will be powered by a desktop Atom 230 processor instead of the usual N270 and N280 variants. While it might provide more muscle, the downside would be a lack of power saving features, but thankfully there is a 6-cell battery to keep you going. Key features of the Mobii ION 230 include the NVIDIA ION chipset and an HDMI port that turns this into a decent portable High Definition video player – make sure you have a pretty good external display or projector to complement it then. The 10.2″ LCD display that accompanies the Mobii ION 230 will have a standard netbook resolution of 1,024 × 600. Expect to fork out around €349 for this puppy, where you can choose from black, lime (neon green) and red colors.
