Nokia 5800i approved by FCC

While the Nokia 5800i has received official nods of approval from the FCC, you might want to put the champagne in the cooler just yet since this handset will be making its way to China Unicom first, thanks to its support of WCDMA 900/2100MHz and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE bands. Apart from that, the label itself is in Chinese, which goes to say a whole lot. The 5800i will come with Wi-Fi connectivity for the curious, and it remains to be seen whether this model carries the capacitive touchscreen 5800’s hardware refresh that made its way round the Internet’s rumor mills a couple months back. What do you think?
