Nokia N97 Gets Price Cut

Nokia’s latest flagship, the N97, doesn’t seem to be too hot a commodity. In fact, just less than a month since it was released, Amazon has already slashed the price to $599.99 (with free shipping) from its original price. In fact, when Nokia USA put it on sale last month, the N97 went as “low” as $594 including taxes. Well, will this drop in price move your heart to purchase the N97, or do you prefer to switch your cellphone allegiance to another person?

Amazon: Amazon.com is an American multinational e-commerce company with headquarters in Seattle, Washington, United States. It is the world's largest online retailer. The company also produces its own consumer electronics, notably the Amazon Kindle e-book reader, and is a major provider of cloud computing services with its Amazon AWS service.

Nokia: Nokia is a Finnish communications company that was the largest phone vendor (per unit) between 1988 to 2012. The company's history go back to 1871 but the Nokia that we know today (the Nokia corporation) was founded in 1967 by the merger of three Finnish companies. It is then that Nokia worked on networking equipment and was ultimately involved in the launch of the first cellular network in 1981 (Mobira Oy). Nokia because a key developer of GSM, the standard that we all know today. Although Nokia still produces a range of phones that includes entry-level handsets and Symbian smartphones, the company is counting on the Windows Phone OS to regain the share that it once had. The current flagship Windows Phone device from Nokia is the Lumia 920.
