Could Philips also be jumping aboard the Android bandwagon with the leaked Philips V808? So far there is no verification as the phone in question was not snapped with its power turned on, although we do know that the Philips V808 will come equipped with a 3.2″ 115mm × 61mm x 14mm HVGA display and a 3.2-megapixel camera, alongside video recording capability. No idea on whether there will be built-in GPS, 3G connectivity or Bluetooth support, because Philips tends to take the long-battery-life route where cellphones are concerned.

Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license.
