Pluggage Concept Charges Gizmos When Pulled

ITP student Ohad Folman must’ve gotten fed up of reaching his destination with a dead battery on his cellphone, hence causing him to work overtime to create the Pluggage concept – this piece of carry-on luggage is equipped with a built-in battery/inverter and a solar panel, enabling it to juice up mobile devices each time the bag is rolled or exposed to direct sunlight. This concept is already in the proof-of-concept prototype stage, thanks to a Burton bag equipped with a Duracell PowerSource Mobile 100 battery back, a stepper motor and a Burton SolarRolls panel. According to Folman, his invention is able to charge the battery within two hours when one walks at an average pace, giving it enough juice to power the notebook for around an hour and a half.
