Robots to turn the moon into an advertising billboard

We were wondering if it would be legal to place advertisements on the moon (that would be visible from earth), but apparently, someone just wants to send robots there and remote-control them to “write” huge advertising messages on the lunar soil that we could see from earth. The video shows the concept, but that’s a huge surface that we’re talking about, so it’s hard to believe that it would be economically viable.
