Sony Japan has recently announced its NV-U3DV navigation device that offers a host of delectable features to the range, including 4GB of internal storage, a delicious 6.1″ WQVGA LCD display at 480 x 272 resolution, bigger buttons, a refreshed user interface for the better (including gesture control for those who miss their Nintendo Wii when outside of the home), alongside the ability to play back movies, songs and videos, supporting MPEG-4/AVC+H.264 with restrictions, MP3/AAC up to 320kbps and JPEG formats. The inclusion of Position+ G by Sony is able to enable the device to detect changes in the direction of the vehicle using an accelerometer, gyro-sensor and pressure sensors, making it easier to detect changes in position in questionable environments such as an underpass, tunnels and high inclines. You will also benefit from live traffic updates thanks to a NVA-VB7 beacon unit, allowing you to make dynamic changes to your route on the spot.
