Western Digital My Passport Essential SE Drive

Western Digital has revealed yet another USB-powered portable hard drive known as the My Passport Essential SE, where it will come in 750GB and 1TB capacities. Both models will be USB-powered, which means you can ditch unwieldy external power supplies whenever you travel with it, making it a much lighter proposition to tote around. In addition, it keeps up with the times in terms of styling, where it sits pretty in its titanium silver finish. Unfortunately for folks who don’t use Windows-compatible machines, they will have to miss out on the sync and encryption software capability. The inclusion of WD Sync software enables consumers to easily take their desktop content wherever their destination is, where the synchronization of essential personal files and Microsoft Outlook data on a PC is simplified. No worries should one misplace the drive since the data within will take some time to get broken into thanks to 128-bit encryption.[Press Release]
