Reports about an 8GB iPhone 3GS have surfaced. This is coming unofficially from Rogers (a Canadian carrier) and from what we can tell, they are talking about making a transition from the 8GB iPhone 3G to a 8GB iPhone 3GS as the inventory for older iPhones gets depleted.
The information seems believable, because Apple won’t carry the iPhone 3G forever and needed to liquidate its inventory before Making the iPhone 3GS the only game in town. The only question is the price. Will Apple sell a 8GB 3GS for the same $99 than the iPhone 3G is going for today? Maybe, but it seems tempting to sell it for a little more…
