Apple stops Palm OS HotSync support

Apple has decided to discontinue support for legacy Palm OS devices in Mac OS X Snow Leopard’s iSync 3.1.0, which means Palm users of Palm OS devices will have to look to 3rd party support if they still stick with those archaic devices and want to synchronize their Palm Desktop information with Mac OS X’s Sync Services. Palm’s Desktop 4.2.1D for Mac users will work with legacy Palm Centro, Treo, Zire, Tungsten, LifeDrive and Pilot models when it comes to synchronization with its Mac OS X Universal Binary desktop software. Well, this isn’t really anything worth crying over as we believe that the time is more than ripe for Palm to move forward, alongside folks who are still using those legacy devices.
