Archos Android tablet eyes September 15 release

Archos looks set to roll out their new Android-powered Internet tablet this coming September 15th, where it is touted to come with the following specifications :-

  • 5” WVGA touchscreen display
  • 720p video suppport
  • HDMI output
  • Up to 500GB of storage space
  • 7 hours battery life
  • Cortex processor
  • 3.5G Internet connectivity

No idea on its pricing though, so hopefully something will leak out sooner rather than later to further fan the hype.

Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license
