We’re pretty sure that there are still a healthy amount of working Atari 2600 consoles available, so why not purchase one cheap off eBay and with a little technical know-how, insert a 5″ LCD display and joystick controls onto the console itself? This allows you to relive the classics of yore without having to take up the TV in the living room. Heck, this mod allows the 2600 to be powered by a couple of 9V batteries, although it remains to be seen just how long of a gaming session those batteries can sustain. Bids on eBay start from $400 upwards.
