Canon’s latest Vixia HF S11 high definition camcorder could be considered by some quarters to be a professional video camera, where it comes with an additional long-range optical image stabilization system which is able to correct the image across all of the lens’ reach, while extra manual controls provide focus and gain to provide seasoned shooters greater control where input is concerned to the final image. Canon has bumped up the internal memory to hit the 64GB mark, which is more than ample storage space to hold up to 24 hours of HD recording with the proper compression. Just in case you feel that this isn’t enough, there is the option to slip in an SDHC memory card. The Canon Vixia HF S11 is tipped to arrive later next month for $1,500, where you can opt for a $120 RA-V1 Remote Control Adapter if that’s your cup of tea. [Press Release]
