Chrome-next browser beta 30% Faster

Google has announced on its Chrome blog that the beta of the next version of the web browser is 30% faster than the current non-beta version (as measured by the V8 and SunSpider benchmarks). Additionally, the new tab page has been improved and is now customizable. The omnibox (url+search) also provides “better” suggestions.

Developers might be interested by the fact that Chrome will start implementing HTML5 features. Google probably hopes to become the reference development platform. If you want to, you can download the beta here. Do drop a comment to share your first impressions!
