Csinco PND gets AMOLED display

Csinco of Korea recently paraded their latest personal navigation device that sports a 4.1″ AMOLED display, featuring a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels will supporting touchscreen capability. Other features include a choice between 2D and 3D Smart User Interface as well as digital TV support. No idea on pricing, but something tells us that this will be available only in South Korea, so if you’re living elsewhere, you gotta import this.

AMOLED stands for Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode, is a display technology in which an electro-luminescent organic compound (organic=contains Carbon) is used to light up pixels. Active Matrix refers to a technique to control the pixels and sub-pixels (RGB components) state which was introduced in the mid-70s. Active Matrix is used with many kinds of displays, but the most famous are TFT LCD and AMOLED.
