Dell Android phone to launch in China any day now?

The Dell smartphone rumor might be coming to an end soon. The word on the street today is that Dell will be launching its smartphone “within days”. Now, today’s rumor does not mention which OS the phone would run on, so it could be Android, Windows Mobile or a Chinese variant of Linux. If previous rumors are to be believed, the Dell phone would be a touch-only phone.

On the computer side, Dell has been very careful at not fighting directly with Apple for a market, especially on the consumer side. Some speculate that Dell has chosen China because Apple isn’t strong there, yet. Do you think that Dell can actually stop the iPhone onslaught?
