The Asus Eee PC 900HA is a venerable netbook back in its day, but when it is past its prime, why not take the innards and turn it into something else to extend its lease of life? That’s exactly what a member of the EeeUser Forums did, modifying his Eee PC 900Ha into a tablet, retaining the 8.9″ screen size in the process albeit with touchscreen capability now. Interestingly enough, this mod uses parts from the Eee PC 900HA and 900A, where the guts are from the fomer while the screen area came from the latter. Attempt this only if you have a decent level of engineering knowledge.
