Talk about penning down one’s thoughts without using, well, a pen! That’s exactly what the EyeWriter does – this device enables artists who are suffering from paralysis to come up with their own masterpieces using nothing but their eyes as well as a special kind of software thanks to the combined collaborations of the Graffiti Research Lab, openFrameworks and The Ebeling Group. The EyeWriter will comprise of “a low-cost eye-tracking apparatus and custom software that allows graffiti writers and artists with paralysis resulting from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis to draw using only their eyes.” We wonder how much will such a system cost when it is made available to the masses.
