HTC looks pretty set on flooding the market with a range of mid-level to high-end handsets, and the Whitestone which was just approved by the FCC would certainly make phoneheads happy! This high-end Windows Mobile smartphone will probably be a variant of the Diamond2, where it will be equipped with a 3.6″ WVGA display and 5-megapixel camera. Test documents point toward CDMA/EV-DO support, with no GSM in sight, although that doesn’t mean that a GSM version will never arrive since the FCC couldn’t be bothered with non-US bands.
