Folks who are addicted to Twitter will be pleased to check out the DIY Guardian Robot. This little robot is meant to be placed on your desk, where it will monitor your Twitter feed for both “happy” and “sad” posts by friends. It even goes another step further by encouraging you to interact with the posts that arrive, raising up its head and arm in triumph whenever it detects a “happy” post (guess the detection will require some sort of basic algorithm that dissects words used in each post), retaining that pose until you high five it by pushing the switch located on its raised hand. When you do that, the Guardian Robot will pass the high five to your friend through a reply Tweet. Whenever it feels down due to a sad Tweet, you’ll need to give it a hug instead. Neat!
