There is definitely a new device brewing from Apple, although we don’t know what it is. Most people will probably think that this is the upcoming (and rumored) tablet, but until there is an official statement from Apple, there is no real point in speculating. The latest iPhone OS 3.1 beta release did refer to a type of “iProd” device, pointing towards configurations for “standardMuxPTPEthernet” and “AppleUSBEthernet” – and both of these currently see action on the iPhone. What do you think of this iProd device – is it a tablet, or something totally different?
