Mathmos, the guys behind the famous lava lamp has gone back to basics by unveiling a new range of designs that doesn’t require you to use electricity at all to keep it going – instead, it will use tea lights to heat up the lava within. What do you think of this idea – is it worth adopting, or do you prefer not to have a major fire hazard in your bedroom, especially when you sleep? Apparently, a single tea lamp is able to offer up to three hours’ worth of light. Dubbed the Fireflow lamps, they will be available this fall in a quartet of neon colors, while those who are more extroverted can settle for a glittery version.
