Microsoft pressure sensitive keyboard

Microsoft will be demonstrating a new prototype for a pressure-sensitive keyboard at the upcoming User Interface Software and Technology conference this October. This keyboard is able to register up to 256 different levels of force, allowing it to perform different actions accordingly, pretty much like how some games run on the PS3 with its controller. Some of the features include the typing of capital letters simply by pressing hard on a key, while erasing an entire word might require you to hit the Delete key with extra strength. It would be interesting to see this prototype model enter production, although Microsoft has not yet announced whether they will take this beyond the prototype mode or not.
