Mitsubishi Electric has already come up with a couple of 15″ XGA color thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) modules known as AA150XS01/AA150XS011 which are meant for industrial use. A couple of module types come with differing luminance, although they have a common bond in a 170-degree super wide vertical and horizontal viewing angle and a white light emitting diode (LED) backlight. The latter is environmentally-friendly since it does not contain an iota of mercury, and is capable of performing at high brightness for a long time without the need for an inverter, indirectly reducing customer costs in the process. The AA150XS01 is meant for indoor use with a luminance of 350 cd/m2, while the AA150XS11 will target outdoor use with a luminance of 1,100 cd/m2.
