The GSM version of the Palm Pre has been elusive until recently, but the Wi-Fi Alliance just certified a new variant of the Palm Pre known as the P100UNA, where it will come with 850/1900MHz UMTS/HSPA connectivity to boot. Chances are pretty good that this will make it to Telus first since the telco company is about to make the jump to HSPA, making the Pre one of the company’s first smartphones out.
