Plantronics has rolled out its latest device, the Discovery 975 Bluetooth headset that will see the sparkly white 925 off. The 975 will retain its predecessor’s noise cancellation, loopless ear fitting and wind protection features, although the internal hardware will undergo a slight relocation to the main earpiece from the microphone stand so that it ends up looking much slimmer. In addition, the headset comes with a more updated dual-mic setup, where one is used for voice pickup while the other handles noise canceling. Plantronics claims a talk time of 15 hours, and has tagged a premium $130 price tag to it – hey, at least you get a carrying case with each purchase instead of a transparent plastic wrapper that you need to cut through.
