QNAP Systems has just released a couple of new Turbo NAS servers that will find a place in enterprise and corporate environments, namely the TS-439U-RP and the TS-439U-SPK. These two servers come with a quartet of drives and will play nice with 1U racks, being hot-swappable at the same time. At their maximum, they can store up to 8TB of storage space, holding either 2.5″ or 3.5″ hard drives. Inside, it will be powered by an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM, a 87.3MBps transfer speed, feature RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 5+ configurations, iSCSI Target service and dual gigabit LAN ports. Both of them will play nice with Windows, Mac, Unix and Linux systems. Don’t worry about your data’s security – they’re backed by AES 256-bit encryption. There is no word on pricing although you can pick up both later this month.
