Samsung Application Store

We’ve always maintained that value is in the software, which is why the Apple App Store has exploded since it was introduced, with BlackBerry attempting to follow up as well. Samsung’s Application Store also plays on the same premise, where their own mobile software service will feature its own native client, featuring unspecified “content guidelines” that will filter the type of apps which reach the store. Currently, 300 apps are available at launch, with games from Capcom, EA and Gameloft among others being the primary offering. Another 2,000 or so apps will arrive at the store before the year is over. Another player in the application market, it seems – nice to see competition usher in what we hope to be innovation in future store modules.
