Samsung unveils clamshell handset

Samsung has revealed yet another clamshell model series that is bound to attract attention wherever you go – the SCH-W830 for SK Telecom and SPH-W8350 for LG Telecom. What makes these clamshells showstoppers is the inclusion of a round external display that oozes with coolness. In addition, it measures but a mere 13.4mm thin, coming with a button dedicated to opening the phone itself to save yourself from some menial manual work. Other specifications include a 2.6″ QVGA display, a 2-megapixel camera, an integrated media player, maps of the subway system, Bluetooth connectivity, a microSD memory card slot and an interesting SOS function. Available in blue, pink or white colors, it will retail for around $400 when available.
