Samsung YP-M1 to be unveiled outside of Korea

Samsung looks set to unveil its Tegra-powered YP-M1 portable media player outside of South Korean shores, which is good news. Apparently, this Korean consumer electronics giant is looking to send their YP-M1 to the European continent first followed by other regions in an upcoming announcement at the pre-IFA 2009 press conference to be held on September 3rd. With NVIDIA’s Tegra chipset running within, this is not your grandpappy’s portable media player since it contains enough processing muscle to view videos at HD resolution. Other features of the YP-M1 include a 3.3″ AMOLED display, the TouchWiz user interface, support for a wide range of audio and video file fomats and capacities ranging from 8GB to 32GB.
