
Sony’s Memory stick is keeping up with its SD counterpart by finalizing its Memory Stick XC format that can reach 2TB in capacity, just like the SDXC cards. In the meantime, don’t pay attention to theoretical performance numbers like 480Mbps – in the real world, they don’t mean much, and we’ll have to look at independent benchmarks. What’s important for Sony users is that there is a path to 2TB. The new format uses the same physical design .
