Always Innovating is ready to ship its Touch Book to folks who have already placed a pre-order. The Touch Book is a modular product, where you will need to purchase additional peripherals to add-on to it, including an 8.9″ touchscreen display and a sliding keyboard. The innards comprise of a TI OMAP3530 processor, 512MB RAM, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi & Bluetooth connectivity and 8GB of internal memory. On the outside, you can see seven USB 2.0 ports (at least they don’t skimp on this) and stereo speakers. A custom operating system will run on the Touch Book, where a tablet-only solution is going for $299 while the keyboard add-on will cost you another Benjamin.
