Courier services often pride in themselves being able to deliver their packages on time, anywhere in the world, but with the global population booming unlike ever before, chances are our earth will be pretty overpopulated – especially in the urban areas where all the action is, sometime in the near future. This will probably disrupt the way packages are delivered, and designer Philip Hermes has come up with the Urban Mole concept that sees a capsure travel through current networks of underground pipes, transporting various packages ranging from groceries to signed documents and books. This will help reduce traffic on our streets somewhat, and it will be interesting to see how such an idea develops.
