Verizon Escapade now official

Verizon has just made official the Escapade world phone that is manufactured by PCD (Personal Communications Devices). Targeting those who travel around the globe frequently, the Escapade (sounds more like a vehicle name than a handset), this clamshell will be equipped with dual band CDMA 1X and quad band GSM/GPRS (850/900/1800/1900) connectivity, where it will come with a pre-installed SIM card to get you started. You will find that the Escapade comes with a 2″ internal TFT display, a 1.1″ external CSTN display, VZ Navigator capabilities, Mobile Web, email support, Bluetooth connectivity and a 2-megapixel camera. Expect the Escapade to retail for $29.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate on a new contract. [Press Release]
