Vodafone has just made known that they will be introducing their 14.4 Megabit mobile broadband service nationwide, making them the first UK telco provider to do so. It goes without saying that major city centres will be among the first to benefit from this exercise, including London, Birmingham and Liverpool. Just bear in mind that 14.4Mbps is a peak rate that works great in theory, although customers would more or less have to settle fro typical speeds that range from 1Mbps to 4 Mbps, hitting a practical maximum speed of 10.8Mbps whenever the cow jumps over the moon.
