Interestingly enough after the announcement that Microsoft will be cutting the prices of its Xbox 360 Pro and Elite consoles, folks living in the UK will be disappointed to know that the entry level Arcade bundle has actually received a price increase to £160 from £130, with Microsoft citing the reason of attempting to “offset” exchange rate fluctuations and local market conditions. This is the first upward adjustment for consoles that we’ve come across, and it sure as heck doesn’t make sense. If they did it to Japan, that’s all right because the Xbox 360 is more or less dead and buried there anyways, still being outsold by the PS2 every single week since its release.
