
AMD has just rolled out its latest Congo processor, the next-generation Ultrathin Platform that will comprise of a speedy 1.6GHz Turion Neo X2 while featuring specifications that focuses on graphics performance and battery life. Congo will rely on a Radeon HD 3200, bringing the ability to decode 1080p video smoothly in hardware while wringing out another extra hour of battery life compared to its earlier platform. Expect to see Acer and ASUS pack in Congo-based systems hit the market soon, with news of at least 20 systems shipping before Windows 7 is launched.
