Asus’ HP-100U headphones is one of the company’s first when it comes to a Mac-tailored device, where it will merge an over-ear headphone set complete with a desk array microphone and a Xonar U1 that will provide Mac users with OpenAL audio acceleration alongside Dolby Home Theater processing for superior audio. As for the Xonar hub, it will come with a headphone amp where under the Windows environment, one will be able to benefit from a boost to DirectSound, EAX and OpenAL. No word on shipping nor the price of the HP-100U as at publishing time, unfortunately.
