Celio REDFLY gets BlackBerry drivers

The Celio REDFLY smartphone-expander has just received a bunch of new BlackBerry drivers, enabling this mini-laptop without a processor to function with your smartphone running the proceedings from behind the screen, although you do get the advantage of a larger display and a keyboard. Owners of BlackBerry Curves, Tours and Bolds will now be able to enjoy what Windows Mobile and Android smartphone users had been for quite some time already. There is one caveat though – instead of giving you more pixels as with the case of Windows Mobile handsets, the REDFLY will only magnify the phone’s current resolution for BlackBerrys, offering larger fonts without additional visual real estate, where this could lead to jaggier graphics. Celio is currently working on future drivers that would accommodate screen expansion, where it will be released before the year is over.
