Fans of the Commodore 64 platform will be pleased to note that they will be able to see games on the iPhone in due time after the developer made some changes to align it with Apple’s SDK. This means the developer managed to work around a clause from Apple that stated, “An Application may not itself install or launch other executable code by any means, including without limitation through the use of a plug-in architecture, calling other frameworks, other APIs or otherwise. No interpreted code may be downloaded and used in an Application except for code that is interpreted and run by Apple’s Published APIs and built-in interpreter(s).” The upcoming C64 package will include not only an emulator but five games including Dragon’s Den, Le Mans, Jupiter Lander, Arctic Shipwreck and Jack Attack. Needless to say, the future will see even more games added to the stable for those who love a spot of retro gaming on the go.
