CPhone runs on Android

The CPhone from China is powered by the Google Android operating system, where it will feature a cartoon-style user interface. No specifications have been unveiled to date, although we do know it will run on the Cupcake update alongside support for China’s CMMB TV. Strange as it might sound, some people are saying that this could be the OPhone killer, which means they are going to have a civil war of sorts, but that remains to be seen.

Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license
