CyberLink MediaShow 5 adds GPU-assisted facial recognition

CyberLink are big GPU fans who are already using the GPU to compress videos faster. Today they have announced MediaShow 5, a media manager that comes with a GPU-accelerated facial recognition. Typically, some image processing is required to determine where the eye, nose and mouth are and that’s apparently GPU-accelerated now. There’s no independent tests to tell is how much faster it really is, but the usage is interesting.
