We wonder just how much better superstars and divas will sound with the laser-accurate microphone courtesy of David Schwartz who hails from the Rochester Institute of Technology. According to David, his microphone is capable of recording “pure sound” – using lasers to scan an air chamber filled with microscopic particles. Whenever the particles move in response to sound, the laser is able to detect motion without having to disturb the air, making the recording sound as close to acoustically perfect as possible, in theory, at least. Looks promising – perhaps Taylor Swift could diss Kanye West in a crystal clear recording of her next country single with this.
