Leica’s X1 might not be as high end as the M9, but it still ain’t no pushover when it comes to snapping digital memories of your favorite moments. The X1 will feature a 12.1-megapixel CMOS sensor within, accompanied by a fixed-mount Leica Elmarit 1:2.8/24mm lens with a slew of automatic modes that will definitely find favor in the hands of those new to the world of digital photography. Other features include a 2.7″ LCD display, a Live View function and ISO that maxes out at 3200. No idea on pricing, but it ought to hit the market sometime in January next year.
