Mitsubishi is offering an entry-level projector known as the HC3800, where it will offer the following without breaking the bank, although it won’t fall under the sub-$1,000 price point.
- Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution
- 1,300 ANSI lumens
- 4,000:1 contrast ratio
- 5,000 hours lamp lifespan (estimated)
- Filter-free design
The Mitsubishi HC3800 will be powered by Texas Instruments’ DDP3021 Digital Light Processing TrueVision Image processor DLP chip that is touted to offer high detail and amazing color depth. Expect it to hit the market sometime this Q3 for $1,395.
