New Lithium Ion batteries could last longer

One of the major gripes with electronics these days would be the lack of battery power, or rather, their ability to last longer than they do at the moment. South Korean boffins could change that though, having recently discovered a new manufacturing process for the popular lithium-ion batteries which boast more juice and is able to last longer compared to conventional models that are used in cellphones and notebooks. This is made possible by rolling out silicon nano-tubes that offer significant improvements in charge capacity and battery life when used as anodes. This new procedure could see a laptop go up to 10 hours before the next charge. Bear in mind we’re talking about normal laptops and not netbooks.
