
Palm will not be rolling out any more handsets that will run on Windows Mobile software, but will instead throw its full force behind the future development of its WebOS operating system. This is interesting news after Palm reported even more losses for the last quarter since it started to sell the Palm Pre, which incidentally was the first WebOS-powered Palm device. Of course, the Pre will be joined by the Pixi in due time, but guess the Pre’s sales didn’t really make too much an impact, hence a first quarter of $164.5 million, whereas it suffered a loss of $41.9 million during the corresponding period last year. Still, this isn’t all that grim as it beats analyst expectations…
