Pure Sensia DAB radio

Pure’s latest Sensia DAB radio is touted to be the first high resolution DAB digital and Internet-connected radio in the world that boasts a large color touchscreen display. The Sensia will target the Facebook generation, where one uses a DAB radio for more than just audio entertainment, where users can scroll and spin lists, tap to select, slide controls and swipe to change views, interacting with Internet and radio content. Apart from that, you can also tune in to podcasts alongside customized iPhone0style Pure Apps including weather, news, Picasa, Facebook and Twitter and when-available station slideshows. The 5.7″ color touchscreen display will have a resolution of 640 x 480, while other features include 15 RMS per channel speakers, (30W RMS total), connectivity for an iPod or compatible MP3 player, an alarm, a countdown timer, a sleep timer, a headphone socket and a remote control. It won’t support 802.11n Wi-Fi though, maxing out at the g standard. Expect the Pure Sensia to retail for £249.99 when it is out later this Christmas, where it will be accompanied by a 2-year warranty.
